TROPICAL DEPRESSION ANA


HEADLINE: 0800 7/4/97 - Ana has weakened and become extratropical moving to the NE.
HEADLINE: 1700 7/3/97 - Ana has been downgraded to a Tropical Depression and continues to the NE out to sea.
HEADLINE: 0800 7/3/97 - Tropical Storm Ana continues to the NE, just barely a tropical storm.
HEADLINE: 1100 7/2/97 - Ana is moving to the ENE and weakening.
HEADLINE: 0800 7/2/97 - Ana continues to the east as a Tropical Storm. All indications are that it has not left its eastward track.
HEADLINE: 1700 7/1/97 - NHC Recon planes flew into the disturbance today, which is now Tropical Storm Ana, with winds of 45 mph. She is moving East at 10.
HEADLINE: 1100 7/1/97 - TD # 1 is moving to the east. No change in strength in the past 5 hours.

HEADLINE: 0900 7/1/97 - The Depression continues to lower in pressure. Winds are steady. It is slowly moving to the ENE but will remain in the area for several days.
HEADLINE: 1800 6/30/97 - The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on the first Tropical system of the year, located off the coast of South Carolina.
HEADLINE: 6/29/97 - A suspicious area of clouds has been hanging off the North Carolina coast for two days.  NHC says it will not develop.
